The student union government of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), has unveiled plans to grant scholarships to 33 meritorious students in commemoration of the union’s 33rd anniversary.
Tijani Habeebullahi, the President of the union, announced during a press conference that the scholarships will be awarded based on academic performance.
He stated, “The scholarship will be centered on 33 students who will be carefully selected based on their academic performance, and there would also be grants and support schemes for 33 student business owners who are registered with CAC.”
Expressing heartfelt gratitude to the University’s Vice Chancellor, Prof. Kehinde Olusola, for his role in guiding the institution to success, Habeebullahi highlighted the accomplishments of the recently concluded convocation ceremony and project commissioning.
He noted that the celebration is scheduled for September 2023 and will encompass a wide range of initiatives, programs, and actions.
The student leaders also called upon Ogun Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun to address the condition of Camp-Alabata Road, underscoring its significance to students and the local community.
