In light of recent events in the Ijagba Sagamu area of Ogun State, the issue of cultism has come to the forefront, and some have questioned whether or not the problem is truly as widespread as it seems. Force PRO Olumuyiwa Adejobi has stated that, based on his personal observations and experience, cultism appears to be prevalent among the youth of Sagamu, even more so than among students. He has called for action to be taken in order to address the issue.
