Teachers, Pupils Commend Hon. Adebukanla (PARTO) for Free Holiday Coaching Classes in Ijebu-Ode Ward 4

Public primary school teachers and pupils in Ijebu-Ode Local Government Area, Ward 4, have showered encomiums on the Councillor representing the area, Hon. Jamiu Kolawole Adebukanla (PARTO), for sponsoring free holiday coaching classes to engage and prepare pupils for the coming 2026/2027 academic session.

The teachers and pupils gave their commendation at the conclusion of the free coaching classes, which ran from August 3-28 at the Otubu Memorial Primary School, Apebi, Ijebu-Ode.

This year’s free coaching class, which was the second edition, attracted Primary 1-6 pupils from the nooks and crannies of Ijebu-Ode Ward 4. The classes featured major subjects including English Language, Mathematics, Basic Science and Social Studies.

While commending Hon. Adebukanla for the initiative, the Headteacher of Otubu Memorial Primary School, Mrs Esther Adeola Adeusi, noted that the gesture extended beyond the free classes, as the lawmaker also distributed gifts and stationery to the pupils from across the four public primary schools in his constituency.

She said, “I want to really appreciate our Honourable for the wonderful job he has been doing among the learners by supporting the parents. The summer coaching was done by him free of charge, without collecting single money from the learners, and he paid all the staff: all the teachers that took part in the summer coaching…. We really appreciate him, because he has been doing wonderfully among the four schools in his Ward, that is Ward 4. He has been bringing gifts for the learners, buying them stationery, and supporting their parents. We really appreciate him once again.”

One of the teachers in the coaching classes expressed his joy at teaching the pupils and his satisfaction that the pupils acquired important knowledge ahead of the new academic session.

He said, “We really appreciate the Honourable for this tangible lesson organised during the summer period, and to me as a teacher, it brings a type of joy in me. For me, being in the midst of pupils, teaching them. And to the pupils, the response, the answer, the kind of lesson, knowledge acquired during this lesson, I am really much excited for that.”

A female pupil also expressed appreciation to Hon. Adebukanla for the free coaching classes and the gifts distributed to the pupils, with the remarks “We thank you for some gifts that you shared for us, and we thank you for the coaching lesson that you give children that come to Otubu (Memorial Primary) School.”
